Luxuriate in a Gentlemen's Club Look at Home

Out of Africa with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford is my favorite movie. I have seen it at least 50 times over the past 25 decades. The movie is set in colonial Africa around 1915. I have studied each established layout at length; I understand the colors and textures of every scene as well as I understand my own house. One of my favourite scenes in the movie is when Streep’s character is encouraged into a “men only” area of the local social club. The area has beautiful wood information, white walls and taxidermy everywhere. Men lounge in the pub, drinking scotch and whiskey. Numerous tables and chairs serve as the collecting point for dialogue and debate.

There are several things in my mind that make a space manly: wood paneling, books, a fireplace and big leather chairs. Furthermore, a masculine space has a feeling of solitude and simplicity. Take a look at these handsome spaces and see if they are you considering making your own gentleman’s escape.

Thom Filicia Inc..

A cozy club seat by the fireplace with medium-tone timber paneling and bookshelves make this room perfectly manly. Notice the various combined textures, from the tree back end table into the gold leaf of this image frame over the mantel.

Wall-mounted shelves create a library texture whilst leaving space to display liquor bottles, art and accessories.

Matthew MacCaul Turner

Though this bath was made to be shared, it seems like a gentlemen’s escape with its caramel-color paneling, pewter tub and simple open windows that highlight the opinion.

This room is dripping in manly particulars: pool table, monochromatic color scheme and also an entry that causes you to feel as though you are entering the boys’ club.

I love this office’s shelving and seating structure. The open shelves in stain-grade wood allow specific items to be beautifully displayed.

A conversation-style seating arrangement includes a manly background of books and a custom-crafted gun instance. Notice the strong black and white geometric pattern of the rug. When black is used in a floor covering it visually anchors the distance whilst drawing the eye from the floor up into the ceiling.

This fantastic space has the perfect leather Chesterfield sofa paired with a blue shadow club seat. The upholstered ottoman is perfect for putting feet up in the front of the fire.

This is such an eclectic space. I love the usage of gender-neutral red on the bookshelves as well as the layered rugs, including a splash of zebra. Overall the vibe is artsy and manly.

This masculine-feeling space packs in many upholstered pieces in a little area. It actually produces a small room appear larger to fill the room with medium-scale furniture. Notice the great palette of brown and blue paired with oversize abstract photography.

A club seat facing the flame generates an inviting corner for reading or taking a rest.

This fantastic gentleman’s retreat features hot colors, wrought iron walls and leather chairs. A contemporary X-table with a glass top is a superb complement for classic rugs, as it allows the entire rug pattern and palette to be viewed.
